Privacy Policy

The short version: we don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, and your reference library lives on your machine — not our servers.

Bond is a Chrome extension and website made by Covalent Studios. This policy covers both, in plain English. If anything here is unclear, email us and a human will answer.

What we collect

  • Your email address — when you create an account, so you can sign in and we can send you receipts and account emails. That's it. No marketing lists you didn't ask for.
  • Account and license records — your Bond key, plan (Free or Pro), and subscription status, stored with our database provider (Supabase).
  • Payment details — handled entirely by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers, and we can't see it.
  • Error reports — if the extension hits a bug and you choose to send a report, we receive the error details and browser version so we can fix it.
  • Basic site analytics — we use Google Analytics on this website (not in the extension) to see aggregate page views. No cross-site tracking on our end.

What we never collect

  • Your reference library. The videos you save, your tags, folders, stills, and GIFs are stored locally in your browser. We can't see what you save.
  • Your browsing history. The extension only acts when you click it. It doesn't watch what you browse.
  • Anything to sell. We don't sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with data brokers or advertisers. Ever. Our business model is simple: some users pay for Pro.

Who we share data with

Only the services that make Bond run: Supabase (accounts and database), Stripe (payments), Vercel (website hosting), and Google Analytics (website page views). Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We never share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and for the analytics described above. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers.

Deleting your data

Email us and we'll delete your account and everything tied to it within 30 days. Your local library stays on your machine and is yours to keep — uninstalling the extension or clearing browser data removes it.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for anything significant, email account holders before it takes effect.
